This
map is an impartial bit of information assembled by a major outdoors
magazine in Canada. It is comparable to In-Fisherman, Outdoor Life,
or Field and Stream in the U.S. We are well aware that when talking
to lodge owners about their establishement, or viewing other web sites,
all will claim to have good fishing close by.
We present
this map as evidence that is not "lodge owner talk" or "salesmanship."
The map was created by "Ontario Out-of-Doors" magazine and
highlights the fact that the very best, prime fishing area on 80 mile-long
Eagle Lake lies at the back door of South Shore Lodge. We will mark
maps, show you the spots, and give extensive assistance in catching
fish. However, you will not need to have the daily expense of a personal
guide, because you do not have miles and miles of travel to good fishing
spots like all the others have on "Eagle." WE ARE WHERE
THE FISHING IS on "EAGLE".
All the
islands and bays make good fishing structure, and FANTASTIC wind protection!
You can always get out fishing when staying at South Shore Lodge,
no matter what the wind is doing. When guests of other lodges on Eagle
are playing cards in their cabin because of BIG, ROUGH WATER, we at
South Shore Lodge are fishing and are never forced to stay in or worry
about getting back in nasty weather. We are remote, secluded, and
removed from the "hustle & bustle" of a road access
setting. We have fully modern facilities and because of our location
on Eagle Lake, maintain our credibility as a "fishing lodge,"
not a recreation resort.
