Hello everyone,
Another season is behind us and we would like to take a moment to make sure that we thank everyone who vacationed with us this summer. There were many memorable moments for us and our guests this year, and we look forward to revisiting those memories with you all in the years to come.
As a family owned and operated lodge we get to put our personal touch on every aspect of our business. Improving accommodations and equipment are important to us but the most valuable part of that personal touch is the ability to ensure customer satisfaction. There are certain things we can control, and we will continue to make every effort to provide you, our guests, with the best vacation value we can. Great food, clean and comfortable accommodations, and a wilderness paradise is our recipe for a great holiday and a vacation you’ll want to experience over and over.

CROSSING THE BORDER
We would like to take a moment to enlighten our guests about some border crossing misconceptions. Although we share the longest undefended border in the world, it is still a border between two different countries. It is hard to sometimes realize this because of the friendly history between our countries. However in our present security conscious world, enhanced border security is a fact of life we have to learn to live with.
With heightened security concerns and some recent changes to the rules regarding passports, there is a misconception that the border is getting much more difficult to cross. This is not the case if guests are well informed about the present requirements and arrive prepared.
IDENTIFICATION... NO PASSPORT REQUIRED FOR 2008
Until recently, passports were not required of US or Canadian citizens crossing the Canadian/US border. New requirements from the US Department of Homeland Security have changed this. A passport is now required if you are travelling by air and will be required – probably by June 2009 – if you are traveling by land. These changes apply to Canadians traveling to the US, and US visitors to Canada returning home. These are US government requirements to enter or re-enter the US. Although our US guests do not need a passport to enter Canada, they will need one to return home. This is the current information that we have, check the Department of Homeland Security website to get up-to-date information and details.
We hope this information is helpful and clears the misconception that the Canadian government is making it harder for vacationers to enter our country. www.infonorth.net website that will let you lodge a complaint regarding any problems that you may have experienced at the border crossing. To lodge a complaint, you will need the badge number of the border-crossing agent that you dealt with.
